Thanksgiving Week is always an appropriate time to reflect on the current year. 2022 has been an exciting year for ODA Architecture as it has been for most American businesses. It seems like this was the year that we finally quit talking about the “p” word and decided to get on with business as usual, in whatever form the “new normal” took us.

As we celebrate 38 years in business this month, I have been pondering the reasons and opportunities that made this year great for ODA Architecture.  While I could bore everyone with business terms such as efficiencies, profitability, cap rates, room rates, interest rates, etc. I think it is much easier to boil it down to the lowest common denominator.  We had a successful year because we had a lot of FUN, thanks to our clients, contractors, consultants, interior designers, bankers and even Planning Departments!

ODA Architecture’s tag line is “FUNomenal Design” but it should be extended to FUNomenal Clients, Consultants and Contractors.  We would like to express our gratitude for the many fun projects that we had the privilege of designing. ODA designed fun projects for new clients as well as clients that we have worked with for decades. The energy for ambitious and innovative projects was unprecedented.

Charlotte is the home of many talented engineers and contractors.  We had the pleasure of partnering with many and  would like to express our GRATITUDE to our clients, consultants and contractors for their help in creating meaningful architecture that is building the skylines of cities such as Charlotte, Greenville, Asheville, Nashville, Raleigh, Atlanta, and Myrtle Beach.
